Printing Tips and Resources
Imaging devices are all around us these days. Laser printers, inkjet printers, fax machines, copiers, multifunction copiers, scanners, digital cameras, and more. Even your computer is considered a crucial part of the imaging equation.
Laser printers are the most crucial part of the office as it prints all of your black and white documents quickly and professionally. The cost per page is quite low when compared to ink based printers.
Inkjet printers are typically the best for high resolution color prints or photos. Although it generally takes a little longer to print these than black and white documents.
Color laser printers usually have less resolution than inkjet printers when it comes to printing photos or full color pictures, however it can print them as a significantly faster speed, and has a lower cost per page than its ink-based cousins. This makes it unique and necessary for general color printing such as flyers or graphic intensive jobs in somewhat of a bulk quantity like 100 copies or so.
Multi-function machines are great for small offices, as it usually combine a copier, a fax machine, a printer (laser or ink based), and a scanner all into one small footprint. Imagine 20 years ago, all this would have taken a whole corner of the office and they don’t even work as well as one of these relatively inexpensive all in one (multifunction) machines we have today.
